Born in Guanajay in 1874.  He finished his studies at Colegio de Belen in 1886 and then went on to study law.  He joined the Ejercito Libertador (Liberating Army) on November 15, 1895, being a member of the expedition of Generals Francisco Carrillo and Jose Maria Aguirre.  He serves from the start of his military career with the rebel forces with the rank of Captain Adjutant of the Figueredo Regiment.  He dies due to illness in August of 1896 at a place known as 'EL MOGOTE".

Nace en Guanajay en 1874. Termina sus estudios en el Colegio de Belén en 1886 y estudia la carrera de Derecho. Ingresa en el Ejercito Libertador el 15 de Noviembre de 1895 con la expedición de los generales Francisco Carrillo y José María Aguirre, comienza su carrera militar en el campo insurrecto con el grado Capitán Ayudante del Regimiento “Figueredo” y muere de enfermedad en Agosto de 1896, en un lugar conocido como “El Mogote”.
