Played Baseball 1951-1955. Volleyball 1952-1955, Basketball 1952-1955 and Track & Field 1952-1955.
 
All-Star Basketball Forward, All-Star Pitcher, Volleyball MVP, Javelin Track Champion.
1955 - Established Season record of 92 strikeouts in 69 Innings.
1954 - Hurled A Perfect Game versus Pitman Academy in which he struck out 18 batters, his brother Pedro (catcher) caught three foul flies 
and the rest of the team made the other 6 outs in the game. 
1953-1955 Key Member of the Undefeated Volleyball Team for 3 Straight Seasons
Professional and Personal:
1962- Graduated with honors from University of Texas-Austin with a BA in Zoology.
1965 – Graduated from University of Texas-Austin in Pharmacy.
1974 – Graduated from University of Texas- San Antonio in Dentistry.  Ranked 3rd in the class.  
It was the first graduating class from dental school. 
He lives in Texas with his wife Ana Maria and has two daughters - Adriana and Martiza.
