Starting Guard in Basketball 1940, 1941, and 1942.
Starting Catcher for Belen's Baseball Team in 1941 and 1942.
Track and Field 1941 and 1942 - Javelin, long and triple jump, 4x100, 1500m
Volleyball Team starter in 1940, 1941, and 1942.
All Conference in Basketball in 1941 and 1942
Team Captain in 1941 and 1942
All-star Guard in 1941 and 1942
Following his athletic career at Belen, he played basketball and softball at the Big 5 for the Havana Yacht Club where he played on championship teams.
Also rowed for the Havana Yacht Club and the Cienfuegos Yacht Club.
Professional and Personal:
BS Degree in Agricultural Engineering and Sugar Chemistry at the University of Havana
BA in Business Administration from the Alexander Hamilton Institute in New York.
Worked in the sugar industry from 1947 to 1993.
Past Vice President of Gulf and Western Food Products, a division of Gulf and Western Industries
Active Member of:
American Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (Past President - Florida Division)
Sugar Industry Technologists (Past Vice President)
Written several technical and administrative papers including  "North Atlantic Free Trade Agreement and the Sugar Industry", "The Cost of Reconstructing the Sugar Industry in Cuba"
Lives with his wife Josefina in Miami.
